Aimee Pham is a Vietnamese American writer and filmmaker based in Los Angeles.
In 2022, Aimee wrapped production on House Rules, a short film she wrote and co-directed about young adulthood, sexuality, and overcoming generational and cultural differences. It premiered at the Seattle Asian American Film Festival, where it won the Audience Choice Award for Favorite Narrative Short. The film has screened at numerous film festivals across the United States and was most recently screened at the Brooklyn Museum in May 2024 in honor of Asian American Heritage Month.
She currently is the writers’ assistant for an upcoming HBO comedy series and previously worked in development with Lulu Wang and Dani Melia at their production company Local Time (The Farewell, Expats).
With a passion for creating narratives that balance humor and heart, Aimee strives to tell resonant stories that place women at the forefront, center on relationships and family dynamics, and illuminate the complexities of identity and our connections to one another.
